David Peinsipp is co-head of Cooley's global capital markets practice group. David has a general business and corporate law practice, representing both emerging and public companies in a variety of matters, including public offerings and fundraising, formation and financing activities, Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and compliance, corporate governance and M&A. David also represents investment banks, venture capitalists and financial institutions in a variety of equity, debt and equity-linked transactions, including public offerings, private placements and PIPE. Since 2011, David has been involved in 50+ IPOs or other offerings of debt or equity, including IPOs for DocuSign, Stitch Fix, Snap, Atlassian, Yelp, New Relic, Zynga, LinkedIn, Zendesk, FireEye, MINDBODY, Tableau, Zscaler and Invitae.

Adriel Lares is the CFO at Fastly, where he has helped the company reach an annualized run rate of $100 million in just five years to position itself in the top echelon of rapid-growth Silicon Valley companies. Previously, Adriel was the CFO at 3PAR, where he led a successful IPO, managed investor relations, and scaled the accounting, finance, and treasury functions. A Stanford graduate (’94) with a BA in economics, Adriel has a strong foundation in corporate finance from his investment banking roots at Morgan Stanley's technology banking practice in Menlo Park. He currently serves on the non profit boards of The National Hispanic Insitute, the National Advisory Board of the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford and Family House in San Francisco. In his spare time, he moonlights as the co-founder of one of Napa’s most sought-after wines, Memento Mori.

Lucy Wang is an Executive Director within J.P. Morgan’s Equity Capital Markets division in San Francisco, particularly focused on capital raising for private and public technology companies.  Lucy joined J.P. Morgan’s Technology Investment Banking group in San Francisco in 2007 and has worked on a variety of M&A, debt, equity and equity-linked origination and strategic advisory assignments for a broad range of clients. Lucy has executed over 100 technology IPOs and follow-ons in the last 12 years.

Lucy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Bachelor of Art in International Relations from the University of Southern California.

Jack Cassel is the Vice President, Listings and Capital Markets at Nasdaq. In this role, Jack oversees Nasdaq’s IPO business for the Western US. Prior to joining Nasdaq, Jack was a Vice President at GrowthPoint Technology Partners, a boutique investment bank that provides M&A and strategic advisory services to technology companies around the globe. Prior to joining GrowthPoint, Jack was a Director of Enterprise Sales for Reputation.com and an Financial Advisor in Morgan Stanley’s Private Bank. Jack holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and studied Communications at Loyola Marymount University.

Prior to joining Deloitte San Jose, worked in Deloitte's Technical Accounting Consultations group within National Office in San Francisco, focusing on complex accounting topics faced by the technology industry. Focused on software revenue recognition (including working on many of Deloitte's official firm positions), general revenue recognition, EITF's 08-1/09-3, stock comp, and business combinations. He has additional experience as a senior IPO services partner with a leading specialized advisory firm, CFO of two Bay Area companies, director of accounting for a global cloud-based human capital management provider, and nearly a decade in public accounting. Tim has over 23 years of public accounting experience serving clients (public and private) in the technology and internet media industries. He spent two years in Deloitte & Touche’s London office on multinational clients with multiple market listings. He is thoroughly familiar with the complex issues these companies face, in particular, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, valuations, and mergers and acquisitions. He has assisted numerous companies with initial public offerings, secondary offerings, mergers and acquisitions, as well as equity and debenture offerings. For the past twelve years, Tim has been leading Deloitte & Touche’s Bay Area’s internet-media industry group and for the past two years as the firm’s West Region Emerging Growth Company Leader.
