Alex brings 25 years of investor relations, media relations and corporate communications experience to Blueshirt. After earning his BA from the University of Michigan, he spent his first years on the west coast providing marketing communications counsel to emerging Silicon Valley software startups. Alex then spent five years at Morgen-Walke Associates focusing on financial media relations then transitioned to manage investor relations programs for the largest group of technology clients at the firm. Alex has been a strategic advisor on the IPOS of many Internet, software and digital media companies and has participated in numerous high-profile M&A transactions in the technology sector.
Jack Cassel is Nasdaq’s Head of New Listings. In this role, Jack oversees all Nasdaq’s IPO business for the US & Canada. In 2021, Nasdaq won 77% of IPOs and raised over $180B in total proceeds.
Prior to joining Nasdaq, Jack was a Vice President of Technology Investment Banking at GrowthPoint Technology Partners. Prior to joining the business world, Jack played Major League Baseball for the San Diego Padres and Houston Astros. While playing baseball, Jack also co-founded and sits on the board of Players for the Planet – a non-profit organization that utilizes professional athletes to promote environmental awareness.
Lucy Wang is an Executive Director within J.P. Morgan’s Equity Capital Markets division in San Francisco, particularly focused on capital raising for private and public technology companies. Lucy joined J.P. Morgan’s Technology Investment Banking group in San Francisco in 2007 and has worked on a variety of M&A, debt, equity and equity-linked origination and strategic advisory assignments for a broad range of clients. Lucy has executed over 100 technology IPOs and follow-ons in the last 12 years.
Lucy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Bachelor of Art in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
David is co-chair of Cooley's global capital markets practice group. David practices general business and corporate law, representing both emerging and public companies in a variety of matters, including capital markets transactions, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and compliance and corporate governance matters. He routinely represents issuers and investment banks in complex securities offerings, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, 144A offerings, PIPEs, deSPACs and direct listings. His practice also includes company formations, venture financings and general corporate matters.
David has been involved in 100+ IPOs or other offerings of debt or equity, including IPOs and direct listings for Uber, DocuSign, Stitch Fix, Snap, Warby Parker, Dutch Bros., FIGS, Root, Atlassian, Yelp, Lyell, New Relic, Wish.com, NerdWallet, Sweetgreen, Doximity, Lulu’s Fashion, Expensify, Xometry, Zynga, LinkedIn, Zendesk, FireEye, MINDBODY, Livongo, Zscaler and Guardant. He is also a market leader in deSPAC transactions, having represented companies, SPAC acquirers or the financial advisors in transactions for companies like WeWork, Grab Holdings, Hyliion, Canoo, Opendoor, Archer Aviation, Supergroup, Xos Trucks, Heliogen, FinAccel and Weedmaps.
David is regularly recognized as a leading capital markets lawyer by publications including Chambers USA, The Legal 500 and Law360, which named him as a Capital Markets MVP in 2019. The Daily Journal also recognized him among its California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year in 2020, Top 100 Lawyers in California in 2019, and previously included him on their Top 20 under 40 list.
Navam Welihinda joined HashiCorp in February 2017, and was named Chief Financial Officer in February 2021. Before joining HashiCorp, Navam spent over two years as VP of Finance at Compose.io, a database platform company. When Compose was acquired by IBM in 2015, Navam served as head of finance for Compose as an IBM subsidiary. Prior to Compose/IBM, Navam was Senior Director of Finance at Deem, a travel and commerce SaaS platform, and Director of Finance at MerchantCircle, an online marketing platform for local merchants. Earlier in his career, Navam spent several years working in early/growth equity and leveraged buyouts with Insight Venture Partners, American Capital Strategies, and Sierra Ventures. Navam earned an AB in Computer Science at Dartmouth College.
Dominic is the EVP, Chief Financial Officer at Samsara and leads worldwide financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, procurement, tax, treasury, corporate development, investor relations, legal, IT, and real estate. Previously, Dominic was VP of Finance and Head of Corporate Development at ServiceNow where he led several finance functions, including financial planning and analysis, investor relations, treasury, and corporate development. Prior to ServiceNow, Dominic was a VP on Morgan Stanley's technology investment banking team where he advised technology companies on a wide range of transformational financings and strategic transactions.
Dominic holds a B.S. in Business from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, an MBA from UC Berkeley, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
